The 19th Year of the Tides

Marking the start of a new tidal cycle every 18 years and 7 months, this artwork captures the essence of time and transformation. It showcases a pearl emitting 365 unique light sequences, each reflecting a day’s highest tide in Los Angeles for the year. Created to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the beloved friends.

Composed of glazed ceramics, wood, metal, a microcontroller, LEDs, glass, and resin. Dimensions: 60 x 30 x 30 cm (24 x 12 x 12 inches).
